Dr Jesse Spohnholz Researcher in Residence
Dr Jesse Spohnholz (Washington State University) Researcher in Residence since 1 July with the department of Church History and Law. Together with Mirjam van Veen he will start a project on Dutch refugeers in the Rhineland and their influence on the rise of the Dutch culture of tolerance.

Jesse Spohnholz wrote his PhD dissertarion on the Dutch refugee communicty in Wesel. He received several important awards for Church history for his research on the way different groups lived in 16th century Wesel. He is currently doing research on the Convent of Wesel among other things.
